Wafer Display Stand — Exhibition Display Design for SEMICON Taiwan 2026
During SEMICON Taiwan 2026, EVS designed and produced a dedicated wafer display stand for an exhibiting partner, transforming the value embedded in semiconductor processes, data, and precision engineering into a clear and compelling visual focal point on the exhibition floor.
Held from September 2–4 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, SEMICON Taiwan 2026 brought together more than 1,300 exhibitors and industry professionals from 65 countries under the theme “Transform Tomorrow,” highlighting the technologies and innovations shaping the future of the semiconductor industry.
Making Technology Visible
As the starting point of semiconductor manufacturing, a wafer is also one of the industry’s most difficult objects to truly “see.” Its value lies within intricate patterns, precise process control, and layers of technical data. Yet in an exhibition environment, visitors often have only a brief moment to engage with a display.
The central question behind this project was therefore simple: How can the value of advanced technology be felt within a moment of viewing?
EVS approached the design through every aspect of the viewing experience—from the way the wafer is supported and the angle of illumination, to viewing distance and eye level. Rather than simply placing the wafer on display, the stand was carefully designed to present it at its most appropriate and visually engaging angle.
With a restrained and minimal form, the display structure intentionally steps back, allowing the wafer itself to take center stage. Its material, intricate patterns, and precision become the natural focus of the experience.
